		Tom Mims Buyers Rep is a subsidiary of The Mims Group. The Mims Group was formed by Tom mims in 1986. Tom attended Lakeland high and graduated from the university of Florida with a degree in Accounting. He received his MBA with a concentration in accounting from Florida Southern College. After graduating from U of F, Tom spent a short time in public accounting working for a local CPA firm. Not satisfied with the daily routine of doing taxes and company audits, he left the firm and formed The Mims Group. His hobby of buying properties was turning into a business that would provide for his new family. In 1987 Tom successfully ran for the Florida House of Representatives and served two terms before losing a bid for the U.S. House of Representatives. Although Tom is still active in politics, both locally and nationally, his main interest is in managing the twenty different entities he has founded. The success of The Mims Group, LLC and other companies formed over the years has required hard work from a variety of dedicated people through the years.
